Your entire wedding ceremony will be comprised of wonderful music! In fact, your entire wedding day will showcase music, from your walk down the aisle, to your first dance, and even your bouquet and garter tosses. After all, your events would certainly be lackluster if they weren’t accompanied by the perfect songs.

How to Begin Planning the Music to Present at Your Wedding

Do you know how to go about choosing the music for your big day?

Here at Bill Pence Music, we are honored with the opportunity to assist couples with planning their wedding music! That’s why we have created a basic timeline for your own wedding ceremony music. If you are seeking to gain some great insight, be sure to continue reading:

  • You May Be Seated. As your wedding guests arrive and begin taking their seats, you will want to present warm and welcoming songs, such as by artists like John Legend and Jason Mraz. This time is known as your prelude.
  • The Introductions. Your bridal party will make their way down the aisle before you do, as a way to welcome you. This time is known as your processional. To present a traditional sound, consider Canon in D my Pachelbel.
  • Your Grand Debut. You will make your way down the aisle for your wedding march. And, the Wedding March is a traditional song to choose for the moment. However, for a more modern sound, consider a song such as A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.
  • Just Married! After getting married, you will be pronounced newlyweds. This celebratory time, as you make your way back down the aisle, is known as the recessional. A festive song, such as Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder, is an ideal choice.
